is a comprehensive technological Community Development
Corporation.
GNLCDC provides
collaborative and
comprehensive training and technical assistance for
creating community and economic development, start-up
business development, small and medium-sized business
development and expansion,home ownership counseling for
low and moderate income families, affordable housing for
low to moderate income families and Micro-Enterprise
development for low and moderate income
persons wanting to start businesses. GNLCDC will
provide comprehensive Training and Technical Assistance
through Small Business and Economic Development
programs. GNLCDC will utilize its Small Business and
Economic Development Programs to create community and
economic development.
GNLCDC was established to
empower residents of North Louisiana in particular and
the state of Louisiana in general to effectively
participate in the educational, social, economic, and
cultural aspects of their respective communities. The
founders and organizers of GNLCDC recognized that many
areas of Louisiana are poverty stricken and is in dire need of
intervention and training in economic development, technical and
non-technical training and education to better utilize natural
and human resources in improving the general economic climate of
communities. Lack of affordable housing is a dilemma which
haunts rural communities throughout the nation.
